I think it is safe to say I had a successful weekend.
Friday night, I managed to get in bed by midnight and I had a solid twelve hours of sleep. SCORE! If you know much about my sleep (or lack thereof) patterns, you'd know this is a rare feat.
Saturday was a blast. Rachel and I had a girly afternoon/evening and then pigged out (well, I did) on pizza while watching Anchorman.
True story: My dad asked me to record Anchorman on the dvr so he could watch it. Hilarious? Yes!
Anyways, Saturday night, Rachel and I drove into Houston to meet up with another Syracuse alum, Alex, and some of his friends (Blake and Todd). I was initially a bit nervous but it turned out being really fun. We went to the flying saucer and then shot bar.
At shot bar, we encountered the strangest person I have ever seen. He had on a polo shirt and polo shorts. So far so good. However, he was also wearing aviators inside a dark bar at midnight and dancing like a freaking lunatic. He threw in a few fist pumps and countless head banging motions. While everyone else was dancing normally, this kid was jumping up and down. Completely ridiculous. Everything about this kid screams GUIDO! except for his attire. Soooooo strange.
To top the night off, he also felt the need to throw his drinks on people. He shook up a beer and spewed it all over everyone like it was champagne. Winner.
Todd, who is a phenomenal dancer, somehow ended up dancing with this group of loony tunes. Todd is awesome.
Today, I got to hang out with my little brother for a few hours. He's now sporting a wedding band. Barf! Might as well be wearing one of those cheesy half heart BFF necklaces. Oh . . . . .
Told ya so!
